
One of Newark Rugby Club’s most famous sons returned to open new clubhouse facilities that form part a £1.2m refurbishment. Dusty Hare cut the ribbon to open the club’s new changing room block. He unveiled six changing rooms, a referees’ room and a first aid room
Dusty, of Fiskerton, played for Newark in the 1969-70 season also previously coached at the club where he is a life member.
The new facilities are phase I of a building project by the club to re-develop the Kelham Road clubhouse in time for the centenary in 2019. Phase II is well under way for completion by Christmas 2017
